Tutorial 1 devlog


During the first tutorial task I was tasked with importing my previously modeled 3d assets (barrel and abc roundabout fountain) from self study 1,  into a new unity project. This was not particularly hard as I have previously used unity for a few units in the past so it was something I was somewhat farmiliar with. 

Problems encountered: 

As the barrel that I made used unwrapping and painted texures I had to save the material (the painted uv unwrapping of the object) as an image and import that seperately into the unity project. Before I did this the barrel was a bland untextured grey blob in the shape of a barrel. 

When importing the fountain however, I did not face this problem as the materials were more basic and unity could replicate them appropriately.

Extras: 

Along with importing objects from blender I also had a play around with 3rd person camera angles using cinemamachine, i did this by following Dave / GameDevelopment's video ;


This was the result of the camera following the players cursor.
