Devlog 1: Player Movement
Tumbleweed Troubles » Devlog
This week the creation of Tumbleweed Troubles finally began. The first call of action was creating a new unity project and implementing Player movement. I ended up going with an eight-way movement script taken from previous unity builds for UTAS KIT109, meaning the player can move up-down-left-right and diagonally, using WASD. this script was put onto a basic shape, for purposes of testing from peers. The feedback I received for this was limited because the game is in such a simple state at the moment, however, the feedback was that the game movement was smooth and worked well.
Attached below is a gif of the state of the game that was uploaded to itch.io for peers to review.
